【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationestablishestheminimumrequirementsforthemechanicaldesign,manufacture,inspection,andtestingofcircularmetallicbellows-typeexpansionjointsusedtoabsorbthedimensionalchangesresultingfrompipingthermalexpansionorcontraction,aswellasthemovementofterminalequipmentandsupportingstructures.1.2Additionalorbetterfeatures,overandabovetheminimumrequirementssetbythisspecification,arenotprohibitedbythisspecification.1.3Thelayoutofmanypipingsystemsprovidesinherentflexibilitythroughnaturalchangesindirectionsothatanydisplacementsproduceprimarilybendingortorsionalstrains,withinacceptablelimits.Wherethesystemlacksthisinherentflexibilitythedesignershouldthenconsideraddingflexibilitythroughtheuseofmetallicbellows-typeexpansionjoints.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
