【摘要】:AlthoughPalmer-Bowlusflumescanbeusedinmanytypesofopenchannels,theyareparticularlyadaptableforpermanentortemporaryinstallationincircularsewers.Commercialflumesareavailableforuseinsewersfrom4in.to6ft(0.1to1.8m)indiameter.AproperlydesignedandoperatedPalmer-Bowlusiscapableofprovidingaccurateflowmeasurementswhileintroducingarelativelysmallheadlossandexhibitinggoodsedimentanddebris-passingcharacteristics.1.1ThistestmethodcoversmeasurementofthevolumetricflowrateofwaterandwastewaterinsewersandotheropenchannelswithPalmer-Bowlusflumes.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
