【摘要】:ThispracticemaybeusedtoevaluateClassificationF104gasketmaterialsusingsaturatedsteamandstandardASMERF(raisedface)flanges.Thispracticeisintendedforuseasqualitycontrolormaterialcomparisontoolandshouldnotbeusedtopredictperformance.1.1Thispracticeprovidesameansofcomparingvariousnonmetallicflatgasketmaterials,ClassificationF104,insaturatedsteamserviceundercontrolledconditions.Whilethepracticeisdesignedprimarilyforflatgaskets,italsocanbeappliedtovariousform-in-placegasketmaterialsuponmodification.Thepracticemaybeusedforqualitycontrolormaterialcomparisonpurposesasagreeduponbetweenproduceranduser.ThispracticeisconsistentwithFluidSealingAssociationtestmethod,FSA-NMG-204-02,withregardtofixturesusedandprocedure.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
